What is Desk Tank?

Desk Tank is a pet shrimp on your desktop. It lives on the strip just above your Docktaskbar, where it wanders and hangs out.

Claim your founder shrimp by downloading Desk Tank! Every shrimp registered before breeding opens is a founder.

Breeding is coming soon. For now, keep your shrimp on your desktop and look after it.

What do I need to run it?

macOS with a visible Dock. The download is a universal build, so it runs natively on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs.

Windows 10 or 11. The download is built for ordinary PCs, and runs on Windows 11 on ARM too.

A Mac (macOS with a visible Dock) or a PC (Windows 10 or 11).

How do I feed it?

Move your cursor near the Docktaskbar and it turns into a pellet. Hold still and the shrimp comes to eat. Click to put the pellet down and let it find the pellet on its own. It gets full for a while after a meal.

Is the shrimp AI?

No! Every frame and pixel is hand-drawn.

Do you collect my data?

We don't collect personal information, only telemetry, which is gameplay information that helps me catch bugs and understand what features to work on. No data can be traced back to you, and no data will be given to third parties or used without your consent!
