Buying
If you're under 18, please ask a parent before buying.
What you're buying
Everything you can buy in Desk Tank is part of the game, not a physical thing: it belongs to the tank you saved with your email, so you can open that tank on any device with the same email and find it there. It has no cash value, and it can't be sold, swapped or turned into money, apart from a refund of what you paid.
What's for sale
- The gem pack. One payment of the amount you choose, from $4.99. It unlocks seven glass tints for every tube piece in your web tank, sends a Gem Back shrimp to your tank as a thank-you, and if you say yes, puts the name you pick on the founding wall.
Paying
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us. Stripe emails you a receipt.
Refunds
To ask for a refund, press Request a refund under your purchases on your account page, or email hello@desktank.app from the address you paid with, or tell us that address, and say why. Toby will look at it personally.
We give a refund for a valid reason, such as:
- an accidental purchase
- a purchase made without permission
- being charged more than once
- a bug in Desk Tank that stopped what was bought from working
We can't give a refund for a purchase made with a card or account that wasn't yours to use.
A refund goes back to the card or wallet you paid with, through Stripe; your bank may take a few days to show it. When a gem pack is refunded, tubes you already laid in a tint turn back to clear glass, you can't lay new tinted pieces, and your name comes off the founding wall, unless another gem pack you bought still stands. You may have to send the Gem Back shrimp it came with away. Anything you buy that comes with a shrimp works the same way: if it is refunded, you may have to send that shrimp away. Nothing here takes away any right the consumer law where you live gives you.
